Our regular training has wound down for the rest of 2018, with the exception of ground school who have a lot of work to do to prepare for their exams on 12 January 2019.
Regular parade will resume on 8 January 2019:
- Band practice will resume on 10 January 2019.
- Marksmanship will be on Saturdays 9 am to 12 noon starting 12 January 2019; we will be conducting try-outs for a rifle competition to be held in Toronto on 26 January 2019.
- Drill Team practice will resume on 14 January 2019.
Enjoy the break offered by this holiday season-you all deserve it!
There are a few optional activities to keep us amused until then:
- Friday 28 Dec 2018: Open shoot at the LHQ 1800h to 2100h; all are welcome
- Saturday 29 Dec 2018: Join us at the Galaxy Cinema Theatre for the matinee showing of “Aquaman”; please meet outside the main entrance 30 minutes prior to show start time to pick-up your ticket; refreshments will be at your own cost; watch on FaceBook for the exact showtime and/or look it up on the theatre’s website (time was not available at time of publishing)
- Saturday 5 Jan 2019: start of our LHQ Overnight Activity; cadets arrive at 1000h (seniors arrive at 0900h)
- Sunday 6 Jan 2019: end of our LHQ Overnight Activity; parents pick-up cadets at 1530h
