March 6th Announcements
Wednesday, March 7th:
SSC-Parent Session - the Squadron Sponsoring Committee invites the parents of our cadets to a brief Information and Q&A session on the Parade Square (upstairs) of our meeting hall. The session starts at 6:15pm and will not exceed 45 minutes.
SSC Meeting - all active members of the SSC are reminded of their monthly meeting tonight at our meeting hall. Meeting starts at 7:00pm.
Thursday, March 8th:
Effective Speaking Session - all cadets participating in the Effective Speaking program are to meet at our meeting hall at 7:00 to continue preparing for the upcoming competition. The session should end by 9;00pm.
Sunday, March 11th:
Band Rehearsal - the Band rehearsal will take place in our meeting hall from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.
Monday, March 12th:
There is not Drill Team practice over the March Break. There will be one the following week (see below).
Marksmanship/Rifle Team Practice - practice for the upcoming competition continues. The practice will begin at 7:00pm and end by 9:00pm.
Tuesday, March 13th:
There is no Regular Training Night over the March Break. We resume the following week, Tuesday, March 20th.
Marksmanship/Rifle Team Practice - as per Monday, March 12th.
Friday, March 16th:
CYDC Trip - All cadets who signed up for our trip to the Cadet Youth Development Centre trip are to arrive at our meeting hall no later than 5:00pm. Please ensure you have all the items with you from the Kit List we provided. PLEASE don’t forget your Health Cards! We will be returning on Sunday, March 18th by 5:00pm.
Monday, March 19th:
Drill Team Practice - practice will be from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
Thank you to all our cadets and families who have offered to participate in the SSC Cash Calendar fundraiser. Please return your sold/unsold calendar booklets and money to the SSC before March 27th (our last Regular Training Night in March). There are still about a dozen booklets left to sell if you need more.
