9 Nov 2019 – Dave Salmons Recognition Night. This is an informal “meet and greet” opportunity to meet the family of Dave Salmons, a former 44 Squadron Air Cadet and Canadian Armed Forces pilot who died while on duty. One of our annual awards, the Salmons Sword, is named in his honour. Cadets, their families, and friends are invited to drop in, even for 15 minutes. It is being held at the Moose Lodge, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Dress is C3. Don’t forget your Poppies!!

10 Nov 2019 – Veterans Way Tribute at the Sarnia Sting hockey game being held at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena (Lambton College). The event will run from 3:00pm to 4:15pm. Only 2 cadets are required to participate. Dress will be C1 (C1A with white belt and lanyard). OCdt Hemstreet will be coordinating the volunteers for this event. Don’t forget your Poppies!!

10-11 Nov 2019 – Sarnia Legion Candlelight Vigil. The whole squadron is requested to attend the opening ceremony from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Meet at the Sarnia Legion. Following that, a select group of cadets (approximately 9) will spend the night at the Legion, taking turns standing at the cenotaph in front of the Legion. Dress will be C1 (C1A with white belt and lanyard). Don’t forget your Poppies!!

11 Nov 2019 – Remembrance Day Parade in Sarnia. This is a MANDATORY activity, however, it is a school day. Please strongly consider missing school that morning in order to participate in this important community event. Meet at the Sarnia Legion by 9:30am. The parade should end by 12:30pm. Dress will be C1 (C1A with white belt and lanyard). Don’t forget your Poppies!!
