Mr. Rick Burgess came to visit us during out closing parade to thank us for our participation in all of the Remembrance Day activities, especially the Sarnia Remembrance Day parade marking the 100th anniversary of the WWI Armistice. Well done!
Applications for National courses are due 7 Dec 2018. These require a high school transcript from June 2018 and a narrative explaining why you are the best candidate for the course. Some courses have additional requirements. National courses are available to Level 3 and above: International Air Cadet Exchange program, Power Pilot Scholarship, Glider Pilot Scholarship, Advanced Aviation Course –Aircraft Maintenance, Advanced Aviation Course–Airport Operations, Advanced Aerospace Course
14 Nov 2018: Ground school for select cadets 19:00h to 21:00h at Squadron Building. Dress is civilian attire.
15 Nov 2018: Band practice 19:00h to 21:00h at Squadron Building. All welcome. Dress is civilian attire.
16 Nov 2018: Fundraising dinner at the Moose Lodge 17:00h to 19:00h. Cost $10.
17 Nov 2018: Open shoot at Squadron Building is open to all cadets. There will be special coaching resources visiting to assist us in improving our marksmanship skills from 08:00h to 15:00h. The best performers will be selected to participate in the 17th Annual R. P. Bawden rifle competition the following week. Dress is civilian attire. Bring a lunch. Bring a water bottle.
18 Nov 2018: Drill team will practice at the Squadron Building 14:00h to 16:00h. All cadets are welcome. Dress is civilian dress with parade boots.
19 Nov 2018: Selected members will practice for Marksmanship competition 18:00h to 21:00h. Dress is civilian attire.
20 Nov 2018: All cadets will participate in the Cadet Fitness Assessment to be held at Great Lakes Secondary School 18:30h to 21:00h (same gymnasium as last recreational sports evening). Dress is sports attire. Bring a water bottle.
